WHO TO REFER
Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA aims to provide recreational opportunities for children and young people aged 8 to 16 years. The children who attend an Edmund Rice Camp would otherwise not have such an opportunity due to a variety of pressures upon the family. The family/child may be experiencing emotional, financial, social, cultural or other types of pressure.
ERCKWA are reluctant to ‘categorise’ or ‘label’ children and young people. However, we acknowledge that our young adult leaders, although maintaining high levels of energy, enthusiasm and dedication often don’t begin camps with the skills and experience necessary for dealing with children with difficult behaviours or special needs. It is with this, and the aims of the organisation in mind, that we ask that you consider each application carefully. (We do encourage you to discuss the application with an ERCKWA staff member if you have any questions or concerns)
If you would like to discuss the application of a particular child, and whether they would be suited to these camps please contact Kellie Carnaby at the ERCKWA office.
**We cannot guarantee your agency places on camp. Please be aware that we only have a limited number of places on each camp.
