OTHER VOLUNTEERS OPPORTUNITIES
There are a variety of roles which you can volunteer for to assist Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA activities and programmes. These include both ‘on camp’ roles as well as ways to assist in administrative support or fundraising.
‘ON CAMP' ROLES
Whilst most of the volunteer leaders on camps are young adults and take on the role of ‘Camp Leader’ there are many other roles on camp that need filling, in order for camp to run smoothly. These roles include:
COOKS AND KITCHEN HANDS - No experience necessary, all menus and food are supplied at the camp for you, we just ask that you help us to keep the campers bellies full!
BUS DRIVERS - Each camp needs two or more bus drivers (Drivers will need a current light rigid License = 22 seater mini bus).
All volunteers will be asked to obtain a “Working with Children Check”.
If you would like to help out at Edmund Rice Camps with any of these roles please fill out the ‘Other Volunteers Registration Form’, available in the ‘Forms’ section or contact the office to discuss your interest and experience.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ROLES
Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA has developed a range of Administrative Roles for volunteers. These roles will allow volunteers to gain real work experience, asssit them in developing new skills and abilities as well has making a valuable contribution to Edmund Rice Camps for Kids WA. These roles include Website Maintenance, Graphic Design, Sourcing Grant Funding, and general office duties.
These roles may be filled by volunteers who have retired, people working part time, Prac Students or current young adult volunteers.
